Renew Materials Online

How do I renew online?
By visiting the Library Catalog, you can check to see what is outstanding on your card and renew items. All you need to do is click on the “Login” text at the top right of the screen and provide your library card number and personal identification number (PIN).  If you haven't established a PIN, follow the onscreen instructions to create one.

Once you are logged in, click on the text "Items Currently Checked Out."  Your checked-out items will be displayed.  You can sort the list by due date, and have the option to renew everything, or check individual items to be renewed.

How many times can I renew?
You usually can renew any item once. If an item has been requested by another patron, however, then you will be denied a renewal. The catalog will show if an item has already been renewed.

How long are items renewed for?
The renewal length is the same as the original loan period. One week for videos and magazines and three weeks for all other items.

What's a "Courtesy Notice," and how can I sign up?
In August 2008, the CWMARS system implemented automatic email notices for checked-out items that will be due in 2 days.  The email not only shows the title of the item and when it's due, but provides a link to let you log into your account and renew the item, if it hasn't been renewed before and nobody is on the waiting list for it.  You can add an email address to your account online (or change your existing email address) by logging into your account at https://wmars.cwmars.org/patroninfo/.  Just click on the icon on the right side of the screen, labeled "Update Email Info."  If you don't have Internet access from your home or office, just ask the Circulation desk staff to add your email address the next time you visit the Library.

Questions?
Contact the circulation desk at 538-5045 or email the Head of Circulation.
