Wireless Internet Now Available!

We’ve got wireless Internet!

The South Hadley Public Library has enabled high-speed wireless Internet access within the building. This free service is accessible to anyone with a laptop or other personal device equipped with a wireless network interface card. The service has been tested on PC and Apple computers, with a strong signal available in all areas of the building.

Wireless Internet service has the advantage of allowing users to work with their personal equipment, which is usually customized with relevant programs and passwords. This is particularly useful to students, researchers, and independent workers who can supplement their own computer with the extensive print and electronic resources of the library.

At this time, wireless printing is not available and the library does not offer configuration or comprehensive technology assistance for specific computer models.

In addition to this new wireless service, the South Hadley Public Library continues to offer patrons thirteen Internet-connected computers for general Web access, word processing, and printing.
